Effective November 1, 2024, the City of Richfield will be transferring ELECTRICAL PERMITTING authority to the State of Minnesota. Residents and contractors must apply directly with the State for new permits. The City of Richfield will continue to perform inspections on existing and open permits until the City?s contract inspector is no longer available (anticipated to be December 1st, 2024). If you have an open permit, please schedule your inspection to close it out. If your permit is 360 days or older, it is considered expired therefore you must apply for a new permit with the State of Minnesota through the links below.
