GENERAL INFORMATION

BUSINESS LICENSES - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY FOR 2025 RENEWALS
New Businesses: If you are applying for a license for a new business, please Apply Now
Renewals (new to portal): If you have an existing business license with the Village and received a letter, please click here 
Renewals (previously applied on portal): If you recently applied for a business license on the portal and received an email with instructions to renew, please click here and then select your existing license

CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION
If you had an active Contractor Registration in 2023, you already have an account set up. Please refer to the letter mailed out on 12/11/2023 for instructions. If you did not receive the letter, please call the Village.

If you are a new contractor with the village, select Apply Online from the options on the left. 


RENTAL REGISTRATION
Starting March 4, 2024, the Village rolled out a new Property Registration program. For each rental property (both Single Family and Multi Family), you are required to fill out a Property Registration application. Additionally, for each unit on the property (including Single Family), you are required to fill out a Rental Unit Inspection Registration. Property registration and inspection fees are due at time of application.

Registers the property as a rental. One per rental property

Single Family: $200

Multi Family:
- 2-4 Units: $300

- 5-12 Units: $400
- 13+ Units: $600
January - December. Fees due at time of application and renewal
Rental Unit Inspection Registration (RU)
Registers the individual rental unit to receive a Certfificate of Occupancy. One per unit (including single family)

Fee per unit inspection
- Single Family: $75

    w/ Sprinkler: $125
- Apartment Unit: $75
Units must be inspected once a year. The next inspection is due 1 year from issue date of most recent Certificate of Occupancy. Inspection required at time of application. Fees due prior to each inspection. 

A Change of Tenant requires a new Certificate of Occupancy

Example: Unit #101 received the most recent CO on 4/1/2024. Your next inspection is due 4/1/2025. 

  
Annual or Change of Tenant Inspection: 
To request an inspection, click on View Your Licenses on the left > Select the appropriate RU# corresponding to the rental unit > click Request An Inspection.  Please note: you must have already applied for your Rental Unit Inspection Registration (RU) to be able to request an inspection on the unit

 

VACANT/FORECLOSURE 
Starting March 4, 2024, the Village rolled out a new Property Registration program. All Vacant or Foreclosure properties will be required to fill out a Property Registration application. This application will need to be renewed every 6 months. You will receive a reminder when your expiration date is coming up. To make sure you receive the reminder, please keep your account information up to date.
